Currently licensed to process up to 500 metric tonnes of waste per day, Emerald Energy from Waste is undertaking a strategic redevelopment to increase its capacity to 2,500 tonnes per day while enhancing energy recovery from 10 megawatts (MW) to over 100 MW.
This expansion is specifically designed to help Ontario municipalities reduce their reliance on landfills and out-of-province disposal, while making measurable progress toward climate and sustainability goals.
