Working with the community to continue the progress with turning waste to energy.
Emerald Energy from Waste is required, by its waste management approvals to have a Public Liaison Committee (PLC). The PLC has a mandate to act as a link between the facility and the community and help address items of concern raised by concerned citizens.
The PLC is made up of local volunteers who have an interest in their community and the facility.
The committee meets at the Emerald Energy from Waste facility 5 times each year. Meetings are usually held in January, March, May, September and November. The meetings usually occur at the facility and the public is invited.
